Eric Sepeda is the founder of Uncharted Self Defense and a world-renowned authority in combatives and personal safety. A lifelong martial artist, Eric’s trajectory shifted in 2002 when he discovered Krav Maga—a discipline that became the cornerstone of his career. Now a 3rd Degree Black Belt, Eric’s expertise earned him the prestigious "Instructor of the Year" award from Krav Maga Worldwide in 2015, a distinction chosen from hundreds of elite instructors globally.
Eric’s methodology is backed by a diverse tactical resume, including a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and extensive training in Muay Thai and traditional styles. He is a Certified Advanced Law Enforcement Instructor, having trained local and federal agents and taught at three separate police academies. His credentials extend into firearms and fitness as an NRA Certified Instructor (Pistol and Personal Protection) a NESTA certified MMA Strength and Conditioning Coach and MMA Level 1 Coach through American Top Team.
Beyond the training mat, Eric is a sought-after consultant for the entertainment industry. He has trained celebrities for major motion pictures and national reality shows. A familiar face in the media, Eric has appeared as a subject matter expert on Fox5 Atlanta and CBS Atlanta, as well as national networks including BET, VH1, and the USA Network. With over two decades of experience and thousands of students trained, Eric remains dedicated to empowering individuals with the skills to navigate the "uncharted" reality of self-defense.
